So.... those of you who have been lucky enough to snag a copy of it... what do you think of it?

I thought it was pretty cool. The story is well laid out and takes some nice twists... (to me, @ least)

Sure, I'll add my 2 cents.

I enjoyed Issue 1. It's not epic storytellying, but it's fun. My biggest complaint is that the book seems to suffer from Convenient Powers Syndrome. Need a cerebro? Magnus can whip one up - or anything else for that matter. Mimic has all the old X-Men powers. And two telepaths. And what was the deal with Magnus creating credit cards? Did he really think that would work??

Aside from that the book was pretty neat. More like an action romp than a piece of great art. But I'll stick around for a while.

As for the big question, right now my money is on Kitty. She is the only female member of the X-men I could recognize from T.J.'s "flashback".

Kinda SPOILERS guys!!!

I liked this book and I liked Nocturne. The book, even if the premise is a bit Quantum Leapish/Slidersy, was funny and cute. The art was good too. The end was a bit predictable though. It reminds me a bit of Excalibur already. It doesn't seem too heavy, yet it has a good theme. Cross-Time Caper anyone?

I like that TJ seems to have a big role right now, almost as much as Blink. The world she came from seemed to be in pretty good order and she seemed to be upbeat and refreshingly non-angsty. A good balance to heavier Thunderbird (horsepuss) and Magnus (Rogue + Magneto = ANGST). She's not as dippy as Morph, and Mimic seems to fall into "fearless leader" mode pretty well.

It's neat that Nighty will play a role in the book too. Imagine TJ trying to stop the murder of her father by grandma's hand. It smacks of Days of Future Past a bit. In fact, is anyone else reminded of Rachel by this book? All these guys are trapped in another world(s), not knowing if their own still exists.

And the million dollar question. Who did the deed with Nighty to get TJ. Votes have gone to Amanda, Kitty, Cecilia and Storm. Hmmmm....Kurt's looks and powers, but telepathy? No, not Jean. *Ack!* How about this theory....Psylocke! Think about it. If this Kurt was in Excalibur too, he served with Brian and met her there maybe. Or maybe Psylocke was Captain Britain when he was there. Or maybe they met in the X-Men. Hmmmm....

I have to admit, it was much much better than I thought it would be. It was easily better written than both Uncanny 394 and XTreme #1 (or 2, for that matter). I loved it and cant wait for more. As for TJ's mom, I like the Psylocke as Cap Brit idea, but I dislike the assumption that because she has telepathy she has to have had a telepathic parent. (I dislike ALL assumptions)

Oh and as for the "Conveinent Powers Syndrome" I can't agree more. I dislike that to no end, which is one of the reasons I don't and never have like Mimic. He's too easy. Too conveinent. However, I have a feeling that they're starting out like this on purpose. I think that Magnus will be the first off the team and Mimic's additional powers will fade, and the team will be up the creek. It will add interest. That's what I would do, if I were writing it.
